How to Play Pai Gow Poker 

Both you and the dealer receive 7 cards. 

They’re divided into a High Hand of 5 cards and a Low Hand of 2 cards. 

You need to beat the dealer with both hands, so keep that in mind when playing. 

How to Win Pai Gow Poker 

If your hands both beat the dealer’s, you’ll receive a payout at odds of 1:1. The casino takes a house fee at 5%. 

If just one of your hands beats the dealer’s, you’ll get your stake back. 

And if both of your hands lose to the dealer’s, you lose your whole stake. 

The Joker is not considered a true wild card in Pai Gow Poker. 

You can use a Joker to complete a Straight, Flush, Straight Flush, or Royal Flush, otherwise, a Joker operates as an Ace. 

You can place a bonus bet before the cards are dealt. 

The payout of the bonus bet depends on the 7-card hand you get at the start of the game, before they split into a High Hand and a Low Hand.
